Music and Life

Mark Griffin draws on early farm life in rural Victoria to a career in cities across the world. His experienceflows into songs that aim for
simplicity, meaning, and a touch of irony.
 
He has built a repertoire of over 200 songs — every one with lyrics and tune to make you smile or think.
 
 
Mark's sets blend the familiar with the hidden gems from artists across the ages. 
 

The Sound

What you hear

Mark's music spans an across the acoustic roots tradition. Fromthe early sounds of 1930s delta blues, the storytelling of the folk revival, to the warmth of country, and the drive of bluegrass.
Mark sings over a solid fingerpicking style, using alternating bass and treble melody to fill aroom with one guitar and one voice.
